Brooke Chouest, a Louisiana-based photographer, received her BFA from Louisiana State University in 2024. While at LSU she also obtained a minor in Art History and served as Co-President of Photo Club. She was a recipient of the Alton and Hillery Scavo Award on the topic of Environmental Justice and was selected to be a member of the inaugural LSU Gulf Scholars Program. In addition to receiving a Distinguished Undergraduate Research Participant award, she was also sole undergraduate recipient of the Dean’s Medal for the School of Art. She has exhibited at the LSU Center for River Studies as well as solo and group exhibitions at Gallery 229 and the Barnes Ogden Gallery. Her work often addresses concerns of environmental and social injustices, primarily in Louisiana’s vanishing coastal communities.
